It’s so easy: If you want to play old NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) games with Ubuntu just install the NES emulator FCE Ultra:
sudo apt-get install fceu
Configure the keyboard (Optional. I had to map my ThinkPad keyboard!):
fceu -inputcfg gamepad1
Play your favorite game (You’ve to obtain a legal NES ROM file):
fceu [nesfile.nes]
