Visual Studio 2008′s Service Pack 1 brings a big bunch of new features, e.g. the “fancy” MFC Feature Pack – to name but one. If you install the Service Pack, you should install the updated MSDN Library as well. And if you wanna check out the corresponding Feature Pack Samples, you have to integrate the latest Sample Library, because it won’t updated automatically. Well, and if you gonna deploy your MFC application, you have to include the latest Redistributable Package or supply a link to download it. As you can see, there are a couple of depending components.
